Ground Transportation Survey
BWRC is negotiating discounted shuttle transportation from Hartsfield-Jackson to the W. Round-trip rates for properly licensed, fully insured shuttle companies average $60-68 per person. If you are attending the conference and would like to take advantage of our reduced group rate, please complete this [http://www.blackwriters.org/shuttle/]short survey by no later than Sunday, March 14. By completing this survey you are under no obligation to accept the rate we negotiate nor to use the shuttle company we select. However, should you choose to use any service we contract, you may be required to reserve your seat by credit card in advance (usually within 24-72 hours) of your arrival in Atlanta. If you do not complete the survey, you will not be included in our count and may not be eligible for the discounted rate.

How to Start Your Own Editing Firm
Michelle Chester, owner of [http://www.ebm-services.com]EBM Professional Services, a full-service firm specializing in content editing, copyediting, and proofreading, will present a workshop titled “Start Your Own Editing Firm.” “In today’s economy, it’s smart to look to home-based businesses to make extra money,” says Michelle. “With its low start-up costs, starting an editing firm may be the answer for those who enjoy reading and have a keen eye for grammar and mechanical skills.”
In “Start Your Own Editing Firm,” participants will learn everything they need to start editing for pay, including what it takes to get started, how to find clients, and how much money can be made. Participants will also learn about time management, setting goals, and staying organized while working from home, as well as the necessary steps to paying taxes, opening business checking accounts, and much more.
The Start Your Own Editing Firm workshop takes place on Saturday, June 26, 2010, from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The cost of the workshop is $99. [https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=2SDVPQUNNGPF6]Register now.
