The winners of the first “Give Me Five” Writing Competition were announced tonight during the welcome reception for the 2010 Black Writers Reunion & Conference.
Third Place Prize of $50 was awarded to Cynthia Carter.
Second Place Prize of $100 was awarded to Monique Mensah.
And the First Place Prize of $200 was awarded to Nakia Laushaul.

The Black Writers Reunion & Conference is proud to present the BWRC Author Expo on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the W Perimeter Hotel (111 Perimeter Centre West, Atlanta) from 1 PM – 3 PM. This free event is open to the public and boasts a roster of some of the best names in African-American literature!
Black Writers Reunion & Conference logo t-shirts are now available for preorder. These are Hanes® 100% heavyweight 6.1-oz pre-shrunk ringspun cotton T-shirts in pebble brown. Shirts will be delivered to attendees at the conference. Orders to be shipped will be sent after the conference.
