Winners of “Give Me Five” Writing Competition Announced

The winners of the first “Give Me Five” Writing Competition were announced tonight during the welcome reception for the 2010 Black Writers Reunion & Conference.
Third Place Prize of $50 was awarded to Cynthia Carter.
Second Place Prize of $100 was awarded to Monique Mensah.
And the First Place Prize of $200 was awarded to Nakia Laushaul.

African-American authors gather for BWRC Book Signing in Atlanta – June 26

The Black Writers Reunion & Conference is proud to present the BWRC Author Expo on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the W Perimeter Hotel (111 Perimeter Centre West, Atlanta) from 1 PM – 3 PM. This free event is open to the public and boasts a roster of some of the best names in African-American literature!

2010 BWRC Scholarship Recipients Announced

Black Writers Reunion & Conference is pleased to announce the recipients of the BWRC 2010 Atlanta scholarships. The 2010 BWRC scholarship recipients are:
