The countdown is on! Less than EIGHT WEEKS ’til the 2010 Black Writers Reunion & Conference! Don’t miss out on the inspiring and enlightening workshops, book signings, and networking events taking place at the W Atlanta Perimeter Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, from Wednesday, June 23 to Saturday, June 26, 2010.

Early Registration Ends Friday, April 30
Only two days are left to register at the discounted rate of $295. Take advantage of our payment plan and lock in the early registration rate with a $150 deposit as long as the balance is paid by May 15. After April 30, registration rates will increase $50. Advertising & Sponsorship Opportunities with BWRC 2010
Take advantage of the opportunities Black Writers Reunion & Conference offers to reach an audience of writers, editors, publishers, and readers. Advertise your products or services to conference attendees as well as annual visitors to the blackwriters.org website.

Program Booklet: The printed 2010 BWRC program booklet for the upcoming conference will be distributed to 250-400 participants and made available for download via our website to thousands of site visitors for up to one year following the event. Rates start at $25 for a business card ad to $200 for a full-page ad.
Packet Insert: Advertisers may have marketing materials (newsletter, flyer, brochure, business card, etc.) inserted into the conference packet for $20. Promotional items that can be of use to the attendee (water bottles, pens, notepads, etc.) will be included in the packet at no charge.
Sponsorship Opportunities: Sponsor a reception, luncheon, or any other component of our program or become a strategic partner and connect with our audience. Contact us for more information. We offer various customizable packages for companies that serve authors or wish to put their products and services in front of our members, supporters, and patrons.

2010 BWRC Scholarship Recipients Announced
Black Writers Reunion & Conference recently announced the recipients of the BWRC 2010 Atlanta scholarships. The 2010 BWRC scholarship recipients are:

Tracey Bessard, Miami, Florida
Aynoit Ashor, Chester, Virginia
Ericka Simpson, Macon, Georgia

The committee also selected two applicants to receive partial scholarships:

Michael Harrison, Chamblee, Georgia
Helena Hartsfield, Washington, DC

Congratulations our scholarship recipients, and thanks to all who submitted applications and committee members who participated in the selection process.

BWRC 2010 on CD?
We have received a number of inquiries about whether BWRC 2010 workshops will be available on CD or DVD. Be advised that this year’s sessions will not be recorded. We have copies of BWRC 2009 available on CD-ROM, but we are not planning to provide recordings of the 2010 sessions.
